1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the WorkshopOne platform, you agree to this Terms of Service agreement. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
WorkshopOne is an online service for booking and managing podcast and recording studio sessions in the United Kingdom. It lets you view availability, reserve time, manage memberships, pay invoices and access recordings we hold on your behalf. We provide the platform on an "as available" basis and may add, change or remove features as the service evolves.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use the platform. Keep your account information accurate and your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Bookings, membership & payment
Bookings made through the platform are subject to our Terms & Conditions, including pricing and cancellation rules. In summary, monthly membership is £250 per month for 8 hours of studio time, with no rollover of unused hours, and the full-day rate is £600 per day. You authorise us, or our payment provider, to charge the payment method on file for your memberships, bookings and any additional hours you reserve.
5. Recordings & retention
Any recordings we store for you through the platform are kept for 30 days after your session and are then permanently deleted. You are responsible for downloading and backing up your files within that period. The content you create remains yours; you grant us only the limited permission needed to store and deliver it back to you.
6. Acceptable use of the platform
When using the platform you agree not to:
- break any applicable law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or its security;
- scrape, copy or resell the platform or its content without our written permission;
- upload anything malicious, unlawful, or designed to harm others.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.
7. Intellectual property
The WorkshopOne name, logo, platform and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the service normally. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Availability & changes
We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may carry out maintenance or updates from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of significant planned downtime where we can.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkshopOne is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data or recordings arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Data & privacy
We process your personal data — such as your account, contact and billing details — in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We use it only to run the service, take payment and support you; we keep it no longer than necessary and never sell it. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time.
11. Termination
You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time; any active membership ends as described in our Terms & Conditions. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. On termination, the sections intended to survive — including liability, intellectual property and governing law — continue to apply.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
